Paracas is located near the South Coast of Peru about a three hours drive from the capital Lima. This region has been hit by the earthquake of 2007 which is still visible in for example Pisco city. However, Paracas has been completely renovated and is nowadays home to one of the best hotels of Peru; from three to five star hotels.

The Paracas National Reserve is a very interesting place for those who like bird watching. It is home to a great variety of birds like flamingos. Furthermore it has some beautiful clean beaches. The famous Cathedral of the Reserve has been collapsed due to the earthquake which makes the Reserve nowadays less interesting for those who love to see rock formations. |

Paracas was home to the Paracas culture that inhabited this region between 500 B.C. and 100 A.C. and was well-known for its textiles and mummification. It also left some interesting figures in the desert something not many people know of. We offer a special flight over these figures in combination with the ruins of Tambo Colorado, a lagoon in the desert and the Candelabrum figure. We also offer the famous flight over the Nazca Lines from Paracas.
Paracas is an ideal place to relax, enjoy the coast, the sunshine and see some interesting wildlife. |
