We arrive at the Mossone hotel which we enter via the parking lot of the hotel. You immediately arrive at the big patio of the hotel. On your left hand is the reception where we are welcomed. We start looking at the hotel going towards the restaurant. On the way we pass the conference room which makes this hotel also excellent for any events. We then arrive at the restaurant of the hotel. There is a part inside to have a buffet breakfast or dinner and there is a terrace part so you can sit outside and enjoy a nice lunch for example. This part gives a beautiful view of the Huacachina Lagoon where the hotel is actually situated. Passing the restaurant you arrive at the English style bar of the hotel open since 1920 where you can enjoy a drink and also have a nice view of the Lagoon.
We visit the rooms of the hotel. They are all around the patio except for one of the suites which has a view of the Huacachina Lagoon. The rooms are comfortable in colonial style with lots of wooden material. They all have a safe, television, minibar, air conditioning, room service and the suites have their own jacuzzi. Around the patio are various tables and chairs to relax and enjoy the nice garden of the hotel. Crossing the hotel you find a special complex where the swimming pool is with view of the dunes, the Huacachina Lagoon and a bit of the hotel itself. It has chairs for some sunbathing, a small terrace and a bar for drinks. It is a nice place to refresh after a long and hot day in the desert or some desert adventure.
The Mossone hotel is a hotel in colonial style with a patio and very colorful painting. It is an historic building and hotel for over 100 years. Its location is unique near the Huacachina Lagoon which is a natural oasis. The hotel was actually founded by an Italian/Peruvian family with the name Mossone who started this hotel 100 years ago and now it is proud to have the title of National Heritage. It is tranquil hotel with some classic elements and a very nice place to visit the main attractions of Ica and have a good night sleep. |
