We arrive at the Hacienda in Paracas entering the parking place of the hotel. Stepping inside the building we are amazed by the spacious reception and lobby of the hotel. The decoration is beautiful and elegant with a light colored wooden antique table with books of the ancient civilizations of Peru and the region of Paracas. There are plants and the high ceiling is covered with a wooden framework. They have beautiful elegant lamps en a nice place to sit waiting for your transfer or check-in. Next to the couches and chairs is a huge mirror with a golden frame as decoration and on the other side of the lobby is a table with some computers which guests can use. Since this really looks like the old haciendas it has big columns or pillars which sustains the building. The windows are big but in small quadrangles with wood which gives a charming and elegant effect.

We go to the left leaving the reception and arrive at a small room which is the reception of the small gym of the hotel and the spa. There is a nice stair to the second floor where a special spa for women is and there is a hairdresser available as well. We then arrive at the central patio of the hotel which has a big tree in the center of it and furthermore lots of flowers. The floor is decorated with nice ceramics and matches with the colors of the flowers. At the back is a small cafeteria which is a bakery where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and pastry. It has a small terrace at the colonial patio of the hotel to enjoy the sun. We then pass a small room which can be used for meetings or private dinners. It is a nice room with a chimney and a marine ship model; lovely. The hotel also has a conference room which makes it also ideal for events or special occasions. We then go up a small stair, about 3 steps, and we arrive at the pool area. The swimming pool of the hotel is really lovely and very inviting. It is a large pool with 2 bridges crossing it and a terrace in the middle. There is a terrace surrounding the pool with chairs for some sunbathing. There is also a small pool for children and a jacuzzi. There is a bar for some drinks and the music around the pool is really tranquil; mixture of pop of the 80’s and classic, romantic style.

The restaurant is also situated near the pool. The restaurant is lovely with dark colored wooden tables and chairs, chimney and lovely decoration which create a warm atmosphere. The restaurant has a collection of various shells all over the world, not only regional. There is a terrace to enjoy your lunch or dinner outside. Next to the restaurant is the bar with nice ceramics on the floor, a beautiful wine cave, a small podium for bands, and decorated with marine elements like the huge marlin fish and a collection of marine ceramics. The bar has a chimney and is very cozy.

We then start with the rooms. The hotel has 87 rooms of which 7 are bungalows which are 2 floors high with a private terrace, living and dining room, kitchen and 4 bedrooms. This is ideal for families or friends. You feel like home, but at the same time have all commodities of a hotel. The rooms of the hotel are spacious, nice illuminated, private balcony or terrace with a small table, 2 chairs and a couch made within the building itself and decorated with pillows. The bedrooms have a comfortable bed, plasma television, and lovely decoration on the wall with a marine theme, spacious bathroom with a separate cabin with a toilet and shower with bathtub. Some of the suites have a jacuzzi and direct access to the swimming pool. 34 rooms have view on the sea and swimming pool and others to the patio. The rooms on the ground level have a kind of wooden platform as a walking path towards the pool. The hotel has a catamaran for some nice day excursions on the ocean.
